Objective
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of JMF’s Vande Mataram College of Arts, Commerce & Science was established on 1 January 2016 with the primary objective of fostering a culture of continuous quality enhancement across academic and administrative activities. In accordance with the recommendations and quality parameters of NAAC, the IQAC plays a pivotal role in planning, guiding, monitoring, and implementing initiatives aimed at improving the overall performance and effectiveness of the institution.
The IQAC strives to promote academic excellence, effective teaching-learning practices, faculty development, research and innovation, stakeholder participation, systematic documentation, and good governance. Through continuous assessment, feedback, review, and improvement, the IQAC works towards strengthening institutional quality and ensuring sustainable development.
Initiatives of IQAC
The IQAC undertakes and supports a wide range of initiatives to promote continuous improvement in the institution, including:
- Planning and monitoring departmental academic and administrative activities.
- Conducting orientation programmes for newly appointed faculty members.
- Organizing orientation programmes for newly admitted students and freshers.
- Promoting the use of ICT and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance the teaching-learning process.
- Supporting and encouraging faculty development programmes.
- Maintaining systematic documentation of departmental and institutional activities.
- Encouraging and guiding faculty members to undertake research and publish research articles in reputed journals.
- Providing financial assistance to faculty members for participation in seminars, conferences, workshops, and research-related activities, as per institutional provisions.
- Collecting and analysing student feedback on teaching and learning.
- Obtaining feedback from various stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
- Conducting performance assessment of teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Organizing and coordinating Academic and Administrative Audits.
- Encouraging and facilitating the implementation of innovative ideas generated by faculty members and students.
- Promoting student participation in appropriate institutional decision-making and developmental activities.
- Coordinating the compilation and submission of institutional data and reports through platforms such as AISHE, MIS, and NIRF.
- Preparing and submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) every year.
Establishing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with educational institutions, industries, organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate academic and professional collaboration.
