A Founder’s Note

The establishment of Vande Mataram College, Dombivli, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, was not merely the creation of another educational institution. It was the fulfilment of a vision that education must become a powerful instrument for knowledge, character building, self-confidence and nation-building.
When we began our journey, our dream was to create an institution where students from diverse social and economic backgrounds could receive quality higher education in an environment of discipline, dignity, innovation and human values. With this vision, the Jahnvis Multi Foundation took a determined step towards establishing Vande Mataram College.
The College was established with the objective of providing meaningful opportunities to young minds in the fields of Arts, Commerce and Science, while preparing them to face the changing demands of society and the world of work. Its affiliation with the University of Mumbai gave the institution an academic foundation and a wider platform to pursue excellence in higher education.
The journey, however, was not without challenges. Establishing and developing an educational institution requires perseverance, financial commitment, dedicated teachers, administrative efficiency and, above all, an unwavering faith in the purpose for which the institution has been created.
At every stage, the JMF family stood together with the belief that where there is a noble vision, sincere effort and divine grace, difficulties can be transformed into opportunities.
Vande Mataram College has continuously evolved with changing times. From its initial establishment to its subsequent development and expansion, the College has worked towards creating better academic infrastructure, laboratories, learning resources, co-curricular opportunities and a student-friendly environment. The shifting of the College to its new premises was another important milestone in this journey, enabling us to provide enhanced facilities to our students.
Our teachers have always been at the heart of this institution. Their dedication, knowledge and personal guidance have helped students discover their potential. I firmly believe that a college is not defined merely by its buildings and infrastructure; its true identity is created by its teachers, students, values and achievements.
Over the years, our students have participated in academic, cultural, scientific, sports and social activities and have brought recognition to the institution. Their achievements reaffirm our belief that every student carries within himself or herself a unique possibility, and education must provide the environment in which that possibility can blossom.
We are particularly proud that Vande Mataram College has steadily strengthened its academic standing and institutional quality. The College has achieved NAAC B++ accreditation with a CGPA of 2.91 in its Second Cycle, reflecting the collective efforts of our faculty, staff, students and management.
The College has also continued its commitment to quality systems and sustainable development.
As we look towards the future, our responsibility becomes even greater. Higher education today cannot remain confined to textbooks and examinations. Students must be prepared for Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, entrepreneurship, research, innovation, communication skills, leadership and global citizenship, while remaining deeply rooted in Indian culture and values.
Our vision is therefore to develop Vande Mataram College as an institution where Knowledge meets Values, Technology meets Humanity, and Education meets Nation Building.
The name “Vande Mataram” itself carries a profound message. It reminds us of our responsibility towards our motherland. Every graduate who leaves this institution should carry not only a degree but also a sense of responsibility towards society, the nation and humanity.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the Principals, Vice-Principals, teaching and non-teaching staff members, students, parents, well-wishers and every member of the JMF family who has contributed to the growth of Vande Mataram College.
What began as a vision has gradually become a living institution. The journey continues. Our commitment is to keep moving forward with faith, hard work, innovation and excellence, so that Vande Mataram College continues to illuminate young lives and contribute meaningfully to the development of our nation.
With Divine Grace and the blessings of the Supreme God Father, may Vande Mataram College continue to rise, inspire and serve society for generations to come.
